Created by international award-winning animator, Soyeon Kim, Ahco on the Road is a rich and haunting animation which draws its inspiration from a nature documentary. Ahco, a baby elephant, is separated from her mother, and must make a perilous journey to try to find her way back home.

Filmmaker Biography

While she majored Painting at college, she developed her interest in moving images, which naturally lead her to the world of animation. Soyeon has been working on a broad range of projects in the world of advertising and film productions as a director, designer, and animator. Her work is visually strong and often experimental, since she loves to create various styles and textures using different painting techniques and bring them into animations.

She lives in northern California in US, working on various projects with studios around the world as well as running her own design/animation studio ‘YELLOWSHED’ with her partner, Todd Hemker.
